Purpose of the Job

The Technical Writer is responsible for creating, managing, and continuously improving technical documentation for Black Box’s product portfolio, with a solid focus on KVM, AV, and IoT solutions that enable our Control Room & Command Center strategy. This role works closely with Product Management, R&D;, and cross-functional teams to ensure documentation is accurate, user-friendly, and aligned with product lifecycles and customer needs. The writer will also leverage AI-driven tools and processes to enhance efficiency, consistency, and scalability of content development.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities
Produce and maintain technical documentation, including Technical Data Sheets, Application Notes, Product Specification Sheets, Reference Manuals, Training Documentation, How-To Guides, and Technical Web Content for internal and external audiences.
Collaborate with Product Management and R&D; teams to ensure documentation accurately reflects product features, functionality, and updates across the KVM, AV, and IoT product portfolio.




Apply AI-based content development and editing tools to improve authoring, translation, content reuse, and version control.
Translate complex technical ideas into transparent, concise, and engaging content for diverse audiences (administrators, system integrators, developers, non-technical users).
Study internal processes, drawings, specifications, mockups, and product samples to create accurate and usable procedures.
Analyze existing and potential content to maintain continuity in voice, style, and technical accuracy across all documentation.
Manage updates and revisions across channels (web, print, partner portals) and ensure accuracy across all systems.
Support the development of control room strategy content, highlighting how Black Box solutions integrate and provide value.
