About the Role: We are looking for a young, self-driven and experienced Farm Operations Ma to lead and scale our crop production initiatives across South Indian state based in Rural Karnataka preferably Bangalore.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in working with large agribusiness companies and a strong track record in managing fieldlevel crop operations, farmer engagement, and production optimization.
Primary Responsibilities:
Crop Production Leadership
Lead the complete agronomy charter across 7 to10 key crops.
Identify the key cropping zones based on the soil type, agro-climatic conditions
Develop crop plans, production calendars, and SOPs tailored to regional agro-climatic conditions.
Crop Expertise
Provide robust agronomic guidance on field crops such as maize, paddy, soybean, pulses, oilseeds
Extend advisory support and learning for spices and horticultural crops.
Technology & Innovation
Drive adoption of mechanization, precision farming tools, farm advisory platforms, and digital agri solutions.
Introduce contemporary crop management practices to improve productivity, quality, and profitability.
Field Operations
Conduct field trials, demonstrations, and validation of practices.
Oversee the complete end-to-end pilot operations and ensure strict adherence to Valuable Agricultural Practices and production SOPs
Map risks (climatic, pest and diseases etc) and devise strategies to mitigate the impact on the output.
Quality & Compliance
Define and ensure compliance to agronomy standards throughout the production lifecycle.
Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to optimize farm-to-market outcomes.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with internal teams, farmer collectives, technical partners, and machinery suppliers to scale adoption and impact
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or related field.
10+ years of experience working in large-scale agribusin
