Job Description: Executive Process Engineer (3 – 6 Years Experience)

Role Definition

The Executive Process Engineer is responsible for supporting process design and engineering activities for Hydrogen, HyCO, synthesis gas, CO2 Removal and Gasification related chemical plants. The role involves understanding customer requirements, performing simulations, and assisting in the development of process design packages in collaboration with senior engineers and cross-functional teams.

Qualification & Skills
B.Tech / M.Tech in Chemical Engineering from a reputed university
2–5 years of experience in Process Design & Engineering
Hands-on experience with process simulation tools such as Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, UNISIM
Basic knowledge of:
Hydrogen Technologies
SMR (Grey & Blue Hydrogen)
Electrolysis (PEM, Alkaline, SOEC – Green Hydrogen)
HyCO & Syngas Process
CO? Removalprocess
Amine systems/ Chemical wash processes
Coal Gasification & Syngas Conditioning & Purification
Rectisol / Physical solvent processes
Downstream Synthesis
Ammonia
Methanol
Good understanding of Heat & Mass Balance principles
Positive understanding of ARE (renewable energy)



power profiles & it’s impact on electrolyser operation
Ability to work in team environments and coordinate with internal stakeholders

Key Roles & Responsibilities
Perform process simulations for hydrogen, syngas, and CO? removal systems based on inquiry documents
Assist in optimization of plant performance and economics (life cycle cost / NPV basis)
Support preparation of:
Process Design Basis
Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)
Heat & Mass Balance calculations
Process data sheets
Assist in equipment & electrolyser sizing calculations (under guidance of senior engineers)
Participate in PFD and P&ID; review meetings
Contribute to technical proposal preparation:
Utility consumption estimates
Basic process descriptions
Assist in plant performance evaluation and troubleshooting
