Role Overview

The Designer cum R&D; Associate will be responsible for apparel design, product development, research, sampling, and innovation. This role requires a robust understanding of garment construction, fabrics, trims, technical specifications, and market trends. The candidate will collaborate closely with production teams to ensure designs are commercially viable and production-ready.

Key Responsibilities
Design uniforms for multiple industry segments.
Research market trends, fabrics, trims, silhouettes, and functional apparel innovations.
Develop seasonal and client-specific design concepts.
Create technical sketches using Adobe Illustrator.
Prepare detailed Tech Packs.
Develop BOMs for garments.
Conduct fabric and trim sourcing research.
Evaluate fabric performance based on application.
Coordinate sample development with production teams.
Review sample fit,



construction, and finishing.
Prepare measurement charts and grading specifications.
Maintain design documentation and development records.
Conduct competitor benchmarking.
Participate in client presentations when required.
Support cost optimization through alternative materials and construction techniques.
Coordinate with vendors for sample fabrics and trims.
Ensure all designs meet production feasibility and quality standards.
