Role & responsibilities

The Project HSE Lead will act as the focal point for all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) matters related to project activities within the fabrication yard. The role ensures full compliance with COMPANY (e.g., Qatar Energy/Aramco) HSE requirements, local statutory regulations, and CONTRACTORs HSE Management System while supporting secure and productive project execution. Primary responsibilities include:
Assist in the development and execution of the Project HSE Plan, Emergency Plan etc. ensuring alignment with COMPANY standards.
Provide expert advice to Project Management, Construction Managers, and Supervisors on HSE issues and risk control measures.
Monitor, audit, and report on HSE performance, including weekly reports to COMPANY.
Facilitate HSE training, awareness programs, and competency development for yard personnel.




Conduct risk assessments, HAZID reviews.
Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; identify root causes and establish corrective/preventive measures.
Address COMPANY observations promptly and support third-party / client audits.

Preferred candidate profile
Minimum 15 years of HSE experience in heavy fabrication yards, oil & gas, offshore structures, or EPC projects, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Previous exposure to Saudi Aramco projects, QE or other major offshore clients in Lead role
Proven experience in managing HSE systems for large-scale fabrication, lifting, welding, and offshore loadout operations.
