Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Property Accountant to manage the financial operations of a portfolio of properties. The role is responsible for overseeing financial transactions, preparing accurate financial statements, performing reconciliations, managing month-end and year-end closing activities, coordinating accounts payable processes, and maintaining accounting records. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of property accounting principles, excellent analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with property owners and internal teams while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and reporting deadlines.

Duties & Responsibilities
Manage financial activities for 8 10 properties.
Oversee cash balances and intercompany reconciliations.
Coordinate invoice approvals and payments.
Prepare monthly financial statements and reports.
Maintain Excel reporting schedules.
Generate month-end and year-end reports.
Prepare journal entries.
Perform bank reconciliations.
Process mortgage payments and miscellaneous deposits.
Maintain accounting records and ensure financial accuracy.

Education & Training




Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum 2 years of experience in property accounting or real estate finance. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, Microsoft Excel, and property management accounting is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2+ years of property accounting or real estate finance experience.
Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Experience with accounts payable, cash flow management, and bank reconciliations.
Robust organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple properties and meet reporting deadlines.
