Job Title: Senior Executive / Assistant Manager- Freight Forwarding (Sales)

Location: Gurgaon, Mumbai, Ahmedabad

Reporting To: Freight Forwarding Sales Head

Workdays: 6 Days (2 Saturday off)

Time: General Day Shift

Travel: Yes (Within city and outstation customer visits)

Experience:4-8 years in Freight Forwarding / Logistics / International Supply Chain / B2B Sales

Qualification: Any Postgrad

Role Summary

The Senior Executive / Assistant Manager Freight Forwarding Sales will be responsible for driving new business acquisition, developing customer relationships, and achieving revenue targets by promoting Logistics' international freight forwarding solutions. The role requires expertise in B2B sales, freight forwarding operations, pricing, customer relationship management, and end-to-end shipment coordination across Air Freight, Sea Freight, Import, Export, Customs Clearance, and Domestic Transportation services.

The candidate will work closely with overseas offices, carriers, vendors, and customers to provide cost-effective logistics solutions while ensuring excellent customer service and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Customer Acquisition

- Generate current business opportunities through lead generation, cold calling, networking, and customer referrals.
- Identify and approach importers, exporters, manufacturers, and trading companies requiring international logistics services.
- Conduct customer meetings, presentations, and sales visits to understand logistics requirements.
- Convert prospective customers into long-term business accounts.
- Develop strategies to increase market penetration and revenue.

2. Sales & Revenue Growth

- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Promote Air Freight, Sea Freight, Customs Clearance, Transportation, Warehousing,



and Supply Chain solutions.
- Prepare competitive freight quotations by coordinating with airlines, shipping lines, overseas agents, and vendors.
- Negotiate freight rates, commercial terms, and service agreements with customers.
- Build long-term customer relationships to maximize repeat business.

3. Freight Operations & Shipment Coordination

- Coordinate end-to-end shipment execution for import and export cargo.
- Liaise with overseas offices and international partners for shipment planning and freight rates.
- Coordinate with customs brokers, transport vendors, warehouses, shipping lines, and airlines.
- Ensure timely movement of cargo while maintaining operational efficiency.
- Monitor shipment milestones and resolve operational issues proactively.

4. Customer Relationship Management

- Maintain regular communication with customers regarding shipment status, schedules, documentation, freight updates, and payment follow-ups.
- Address customer concerns and provide timely solutions.
- Deliver high service standards to strengthen customer satisfaction and retention.
- Build trusted relationships with key customer stakeholders.

5. Pricing & Vendor Management

- Source competitive freight rates from shipping lines, airlines, overseas agents, and logistics partners.
- Negotiate commercial terms with vendors to maximize profitability.
- Coordinate with transport vendors for vehicle placement and shipment execution.
- Ensure cost optimization without compromising service quality.

6. Reporting & Performance Tracking

- Report daily business development activities and customer meetings.
- Maintain records of new business enquiries, quotations, conversions, and revenue.
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports, forecasts, pipeline updates, and business plans.
- Monitor sales performance against assigned targets.
