Position: Legal Manager

Location: Head Office, Fort, Mumbai

Reporting to: Company Secretary & Head Legal

Experience

- 5- 10 years experience in Construction/Infrastructure/EPC/Engineering/Contracting/Real Estate or similar.
- Proven contract management, litigation, labourlaw compliance, and legal documentation experience.

Job Purpose
Provide endtoend legal support for projects and business operations, covering contracts, litigation, compliance, labour matters, claims, and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Contract management: draft, review, negotiate, and finalise Works, Service, Consultancy, Purchase, Vendor, Contractor and Subcontractor agreements; advise on risks, liabilities and claims.
- Litigation & dispute resolution: manage matters before Courts, Tribunals, Labour Courts and Arbitration; coordinate external counsel; prepare case briefs and attend proceedings.
- Legal notices & filings: draft/respond to notices; prepare petitions, affidavits, replies and court documents; manage filings.
- Labour & statutory compliance:



advise and ensure compliance with Industrial Disputes Act, Contract Labour laws, Shops & Establishments, Minimum Wages, Payment of Wages, EPF, ESI, Gratuity, Factories Act, BOCW etc.
- Claims & arbitration: handle contractual claims, recoveries, arbitration support, and settlement negotiations.
- Advisory & liaison: provide legal opinions, conduct legal research, and liaise with regulators and government authorities.
- Documentation: maintain legal records, contract repositories, compliance trackers and litigation files.

Required Skills

- Solid knowledge of Contract, Labour, Civil, Commercial and Corporate law.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and documentation skills.
- Practical understanding of construction/infrastructure contracts and arbitration.
- Analytical, communication and stakeholdermanagement abilities.

Qualification

- LL.B. mandatory;
- LL.M. preferred.
- Bar Council membership an advantage
