Position Summary

We are seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and student-focused Biology Teacher for Classes VI to X. The ideal candidate should possess strong subject expertise in Biology and Life Sciences, excellent teaching skills, and the ability to inspire curiosity about the living world. The teacher will be responsible for developing students scientific knowledge, observation skills, environmental awareness, and critical thinking abilities while ensuring alignment with CBSE curriculum standards.

Key Responsibilities

Academic Responsibilities

- Teach Biology concepts and General Science topics relevant to Classes VI–X as per CBSE curriculum guidelines.
- Deliver engaging, interactive, and concept-based lessons that connect biological concepts to everyday life and real-world applications.
- Develop lesson plans, assignments, worksheets, projects, and enrichment activities aligned with curriculum objectives.
- Foster scientific inquiry, observation, experimentation, and analytical thinking among students.
- Build strong foundations in life sciences to support future learning and competitive examination preparation.
- Conduct remedial and enrichment sessions to address varying student learning needs.
- Ensure timely completion of syllabus and curriculum requirements.

Laboratory & Practical Learning

- Plan, organize, and supervise Biology and Science laboratory activities.
- Conduct demonstrations, experiments, and hands-on investigations to enhance conceptual understanding.
- Ensure safe handling and maintenance of laboratory equipment, specimens, and resources.
- Encourage students to participate in practical activities, scientific investigations, and research-based projects.
- Promote experiential learning through models, field observations, laboratory work, and nature-based activities.

Assessment & Evaluation

- Design and administer formative and summative assessments, assignments, projects, practical evaluations, and examinations.
- Prepare competency-based and application-oriented question papers aligned with CBSE guidelines.
- Evaluate student performance and maintain accurate academic records.
- Analyze assessment outcomes to identify learning gaps and implement improvement strategies.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and parents regarding academic progress.
- Participate in result analysis and academic review meetings.

Classroom Management

- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Encourage active participation, collaboration, and scientific discussions.
- Foster curiosity,



environmental responsibility, and a scientific mindset.
- Maintain classroom discipline in accordance with school policies and procedures.

Technology Integration

- Utilize Smart Boards, virtual labs, animations, simulations, multimedia resources, and educational technology platforms.
- Integrate digital tools into teaching, assessment, and student engagement activities.
- Support blended learning and technology-enabled classroom practices.
- Use digital platforms to track student progress and communicate academic updates.

Student Development

- Mentor students in developing observation, analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Guide students in Science Olympiads, exhibitions, quizzes, environmental projects, and STEM activities.
- Encourage participation in science fairs, awareness campaigns, biodiversity studies, and health-related initiatives.
- Conduct doubt-clearing sessions and provide individualized academic support.
- Inspire students to develop a lifelong interest in biological sciences and environmental stewardship.

Parent Communication

- Maintain effective communication with parents regarding student progress and development.
- Participate in Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs), counseling sessions, and academic discussions.
- Provide recommendations and support strategies to enhance student learning outcomes.

Administrative Responsibilities

- Maintain attendance records, laboratory records, assessment reports, and academic documentation.
- Participate in curriculum planning, faculty meetings, workshops, and professional development programs.
- Support school events, examinations, field visits, educational tours, and academic initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of study materials, question banks, laboratory manuals, worksheets, and teaching resources.

Required Qualifications

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Life Sciences, Zoology, Botany, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or a related discipline.
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is preferred.
- Master's Degree in Biology, Life Sciences, Zoology, Botany, Biotechnology, or a related field will be preferred.

Experience

- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school.




- Experience teaching Science and Biology concepts to Classes VI–X.
- Experience in Olympiad coaching, STEM education, environmental education, or competitive exam foundation programs will be an added advantage.
