Role & responsibilities

Supply Chain Strategy & Leadership

- Develop and execute supply chain and customer logistics strategies aligned with business goals.
- Drive operational excellence through process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across the supply chain network.
- Lead digital transformation initiatives, automation, and advanced analytics adoption.

2. Demand Planning & Inventory Management

- Oversee demand forecasting, supply planning, and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP;).
- Optimize inventory levels to balance customer service and working capital requirements.
- Ensure inventory accuracy and minimize stock-outs, obsolescence, and excess inventory.
- Drive inventory reduction and asset utilization strategies.

3. Procurement & Supplier Management

- Lead strategic sourcing and procurement activities.
- Develop and manage supplier performance measurement systems.
- Negotiate commercial agreements to achieve cost, quality, and service objectives.
- Establish long-term partnerships with key suppliers and logistics providers.

4. Warehousing & Distribution

- Manage warehouse operations, material handling, storage, and distribution activities.
- Ensure efficient inbound and outbound logistics processes.
- Optimize warehouse productivity, space utilization, and distribution networks.
- Implement best practices in safety, quality, and operational efficiency.

5. Customer Logistics & Order Fulfillment

- Lead end-to-end customer order management and fulfillment processes.
- Ensure high levels of customer service through accurate and timely deliveries.
- Partner with Sales, Customer Service, and Operations teams to improve customer experience.
- Drive improvements in order cycle time, fill rates, and on-time delivery performance.




- Manage logistics escalation processes and customer service recovery actions.

6. Transportation & Logistics Management

- Oversee transportation planning, carrier management, and freight optimization.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs).
- Optimize transportation costs while maintaining service standards.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and customer requirements.

7. Risk Management & Compliance

- Identify and mitigate supply chain and logistics risks.
- Develop contingency plans for business continuity and supply disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and industry standards.
- Monitor logistics partner compliance and performance.

8. Financial & Performance Management

- Manage supply chain and logistics budgets.
- Drive cost optimization and productivity improvement initiatives.
- Analyze operational and financial performance metrics.
- Deliver measurable improvements in working capital, logistics costs, and customer satisfaction.

9. Team Leadership & Development

- Lead and develop SCM, warehousing, transportation, and customer logistics teams.
- Create a high-performance culture focused on accountability and collaboration.
- Develop succession plans and capability-building programs.
- Foster cross-functional teamwork across Sales, Operations, Procurement, and Finance.

Preferred candidate profile

- 15+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Customer Service, or Operations.
- Minimum 9+ years in senior leadership roles.
- Proven experience managing end-to-end supply chain and customer logistics operations.
- Experience in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
- Solid exposure to warehouse, transportation, and customer fulfillment operations.
