Role & responsibilities

Mechanical Engineering is responsible for developing and designing sub system/components. To design and develop Plastics, Sheet metal parts, assemblies and detail drawings, and proficient in Catia/Solidworks and PLM tools to develop concepts and cad models as per design intent. Should be able to independently interact with design and cross functional team for design clarifications and change implementation. Responsible for planning and executing design activities as per client timelines.

Preferred candidate profile

- Experience in design & development of system/subsystem and creation of conceptual designs in Solidworks/Catia.
- Proficient in CAD software (Creating 3D models, Sheet Metal, 2D drawing, and Assembly).
- Experience in Value engineering projects.
- Hands on experience in sheet metal parts and plastic design and manufacturing.
- Experience in design & development of system/subsystem and electromechanical products.
- Strong knowledge in manufacturability considerations for Plastic, Sheetmetal, Casting and structural Components
- Experience in conducting verification and experimental testing at components / subsystem level.
- Create DFMEA and identify relevant product risks.
- Identifying the suitable material, apply DFM/DFA concepts in design and Familiar with latest engineering design and methods, tools, and processes.
- Experience with standard NPI / NPD process:



Ideation to Industrialization
- Hands on experience in PDM / PLM for managing lifecycle of the components, managing ECO / ECR, creating EBOM.
- Create & review engineering drawings, understand GD&T; principles, tolerance stack-up analysis, material selection & selection of manufacturing processes
- Disciplined team worker, ability to work independently, Result oriented team player.
- Ability to present and articulate ideas to key stakeholders and leadership team.
- Excellent communication skills and Positive can do attitude.
- Quality mindset in design and documentation

Qualifications/Requirements

- Diploma, BE / B Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 8 10 years of relevant work experience
- Good understanding and experience in 3D printing, FMEA, DFM, GD&T;, Tolerance analysis, thermals, materials, plastics and infection molding.
- Demonstrated proficiency in design conceptualization, detail designing, structural analysis, verification and validation of design through engineering calculations and prototype testing.
- Robust oral and written communication skills.

Desired Characteristics

- Experience in Catia, Windchill, NPI, Plastic and sheet metal parts design, complex assemblies and BOM.
- Concept creation and Proto build.
- Japanese Language Proficiency is Added Advantage.
