The SSRS Developer designs, deploys, and maintains enterprise-level reporting solutions. This role bridges the gap between raw data and business strategy by transforming complex datasets into clear, actionable visual reports, charts, and dashboards for stakeholders

Core Technical Stack

- Reporting Tools: Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Report Builder, Mobile Report Publisher.
- Development Environments: Visual Studio / SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT).
- Database Language: Advanced T-SQL (Stored Procedures, Functions, Common Table Expressions, Views).
- Data Platforms: Microsoft SQL Server (SSMS)

Key Responsibilities

Report Design & Development

- Build Layouts: Create matrix, tabular, drill-down, drill-through, sub-reports, and parameterized reports.
- Data Sourcing: Write and optimize complex queries and stored procedures to feed report datasets.
- Apply Logic: Utilize complex SSRS expressions, global variables, and conditional formatting for dynamic reporting.

Deployment & Administration





- Server Management: Deploy reports, shared datasets, and data sources to the SSRS Report Server.
- Automate Delivery: Configure standard and data-driven subscriptions for automated email or file-share delivery.
- Security Control: Implement role-based security settings for folders, reports, and data access.

Maintenance & Optimization

- Performance Tuning: Optimize slow-running reports by indexing tables and caching report execution snapshots.
- Troubleshooting: Debug report formatting issues, broken data parameters, and timeout errors

Requirements & Qualifications

- Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of dedicated hands-on experience building reports in an SSRS environment.
- Data Skills: Deep understanding of relational database structures and data normalization.
- Design Skills: Solid eye for formatting, layout symmetry, and effective data visualization
