JOB DESCRIPTION - EMBEDDED FIRMWARE ENGINEER

Position Overview

We are looking for an Embedded Firmware Engineer with 34 years of hands-on experience in embedded firmware development. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in STM32-based embedded systems, DC/BLDC motor control, PID control algorithms, RTOS, sensor integration, and real-time embedded software development. The role involves developing reliable and high-performance firmware for industrial automation and robotics applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware using Embedded C/C++ for STM32 (ARM Cortex-M) microcontrollers.
- Develop and optimize firmware for DC motor and BLDC motor control applications.
- Design, implement, and tune PID control algorithms for precise speed, position, and torque control.
- Develop firmware for PWM generation, ADC sampling, timers, encoder interfaces, and motor driver control.
- Integrate and calibrate sensors such as absolute/incremental encoders, IMU, current sensors, temperature sensors, and limit switches.
- Develop and maintain communication interfaces using UART, SPI, I2C, USB, and CAN.
- Develop embedded applications using FreeRTOS or similar RTOS.
- Design and manage multithreaded applications, including task scheduling, synchronization, mutexes, semaphores, queues, and event groups.
- Develop interrupt-driven firmware with efficient ISR design and real-time response.
- Perform board bring-up, debugging, hardware validation, and system integration.




- Optimize firmware for performance, memory utilization, and real-time execution.
- Collaborate with hardware, mechanical, and QA teams.
- Prepare technical documentation, design documents, and test reports.

Required Skills

- 3–4 years of experience in Embedded Firmware Development.
- Strong programming skills in Embedded C and C++.
- Hands-on experience with STM32 (ARM Cortex-M) microcontrollers.
- Solid knowledge of GPIO, Timers, PWM, ADC, DMA, Interrupts, and Watchdog Timers.
- Experience in DC Motor Control, BLDC Motor Control, and PID Control System Design and Tuning.
- Experience integrating Absolute/Incremental Encoders, IMU Sensors, Current Sensors, and Temperature Sensors.
- Strong understanding of FreeRTOS: Task/Thread Creation, Thread Scheduling, Queues, Semaphores, Mutexes, Event Groups, and Software Timers.
- Strong understanding of Interrupt Handling, ISR optimization, and real-time programming.
- Experience with UART, SPI, I2C, USB, and CAN communication protocols.
- Experience using ST-Link, JTAG/SWD, Oscilloscope, and Logic Analyzer.
- Experience with Git or other version control systems.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in robotics, industrial automation, or motion control systems.
- Knowledge of motor drivers, power electronics, and actuator control.
- Experience with bootloader and firmware update mechanisms.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Embedded Systems, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline.
