Role & responsibilities
We are looking for a Senior Medical Coder with 13 years of experience in E&M; Inpatient (IP), Outpatient (OP), and Emergency Department (ED) coding for both Professional Fee (Profee) and Facility services. The candidate should have robust knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and E&M; coding guidelines, ensuring accurate and compliant coding of medical records. Responsibilities include reviewing clinical documentation, assigning appropriate codes, maintaining productivity and quality standards, and adhering to payer and regulatory requirements.
Preferred candidate profile
- Experience in E&M; IP/OP and ED coding
- Knowledge of Profee and Facility coding
- Proficiency in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS
- Strong analytical and documentation review skills
- Good understanding of compliance and coding guidelines
- CPC, COC, CCS, CIC, or equivalent certification preferred
