About the Role: We are looking for a highly skilled Backend / Platform Engineer to design, develop, and maintain highly scalable, secure, and high-performance distributed systems capable of handling large-scale messaging and data processing workloads. The role focuses on building event-driven microservices using Java and Python, implementing real-time streaming pipelines with Kafka, and managing high-volume transactional and analytical databases.

What youll be Responsible for?

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices using Java and Python.
- Build and optimize event-driven architectures using Kafka for real-time data ingestion, processing, and delivery.
- Develop high-performance APIs and backend services capable of handling millions of transactions per day.
- Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and indexing strategies for MySQL and Aerospike.
- Work with Greenplum clusters for large-scale analytical workloads, reporting, and historical data processing.
- Manage and optimize Level DB-based storage systems for low-latency key-value data access requirements.
- Ensure high availability, fault tolerance,



and disaster recovery across distributed systems and databases.
- Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and Product teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.

What you’d have?

- 5–8 years of experience in backend or platform engineering with strong exposure to distributed systems.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and Python application development.
- Extensive experience with Apache Kafka including producers, consumers, partitioning, and performance tuning.
- Solid expertise in MySQL includes query optimization and replication strategies.
- Experience with Aerospike for low-latency, high-throughput use cases.
- Hands-on experience managing and optimizing Greenplum Cluster environments.
- Good understanding of Level DB or embedded key-value storage technologies.
- Experience with Linux environments, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in Agile development environments.
- Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP would be an added advantage.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
