The Credit Analyst will be responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of issuers, industries, REITs and INVITs within the life insurance companys investment portfolio. The role involves conducting detailed financial analysis, interpreting market and regulatory developments, and preparing internal credit assessment reports to support investment decisions and tracking the fixed income market and macro indicators. The analyst will continuously monitor credits to pre-empt risks building upon and ensure timely exit and Investment opportunities arising.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth credit analysis of issuers,industries, and counterparties.
- Perform detailed financial statement analysis, financial modelling and risk assessment.
- Provide credit recommendations supported by analytical rationale.
- Monitor existing credit exposures on a continuous basis and highlight early warning signals.
- Prepare and draft internal credit analysis packs, assessment notes, and rating summaries for review by the investment and risk teams.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support portfolio decisions and maintain quality credit documentation.
