- Supporting vehicle packaging during development phases and series production to ensure the vehicle dimensional concept meets project objectives regarding interior/exterior styling, function, quality, legal specifications, and production concerns.
- Benchmarking relevant vehicle dimensions and specifications.
- Ensuring documentation of development progress in RD systems, including Master layout, 3D-Ma solids, and Master list.
- Continuously interacting with packaging engineers and styling design departments.
- Supervising and validating assigned vehicle building space; consulting component engineers for missing part geometries, commissioning component engineers for geometrical adjustments, and supporting the vehicle DMU-team in digital product maintenance.
- Continuously interacting with component engineers and the protoshop regarding part functions and assembly sequence with influence on building space.
- Contributing to the concept and vehicle requirement specifications.
- Initiating and implementing measures in the event of deviations from vehicle specifications, module strategy, or other change requirements.
- Managing package release of assigned parts: promptly handling parts in the release worklist, conducting thorough package checks, and documenting results in PDM ( Approved , Declined , Approved with concerns ), with an independent time management target of a maximum of 10 days.
- Regularly checking the Bill of Material for responsible carlines/platforms in PDM.
- Creating Certification/homologation, GCIE, and other necessary drawings.
