Position: Assistant Manager Store (API)

Department: Stores & Warehouse

Location: API Manufacturing Plant Ankleshwar

Reports To: Assistant General Manager – Stores

Job Purpose

To manage API warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, inventory control,

documentation, dispatch, and logistics activities while maintaining GMP, GDP, and

regulatory compliance. The role requires hands-on experience in SAP SD (Sales &

Distribution) and coordination with Production, QA, Purchase, and Logistics teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day warehouse and store operations for API manufacturing.
- Handle dispatch planning and logistics coordination for domestic and export

shipments.

- Ensure accurate preparation and verification of dispatch documents including

invoices, e-way bills, delivery challans, packing lists, and transport documentation.

- Process sales orders, deliveries, billing, and shipment transactions using SAP SD

Module.

- Coordinate with Production, QA, QA Release, Purchase, and Transporters for timely

dispatches.

- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting and stock reconciliation.
- Monitor FG, RM, PM, and consumable inventory.




- Ensure proper storage conditions in compliance with GMP, GDP, and EHS

requirements.

- Track transporter performance and optimize dispatch timelines.
- Maintain warehouse documentation and ensure audit readiness for internal,

customer, and regulatory inspections.

- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Lead warehouse housekeeping, safety practices, and 5S implementation.
- Supervise warehouse staff and contract manpower to ensure efficient operations.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Science, Pharmacy, Supply Chain, or related

discipline.

- MBA/PG Diploma in Supply Chain or Logistics is preferred.

Experience

- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in API/Pharmaceutical warehouse operations

having hands-on experience with SAP SD Module.

- Experience in dispatch planning, logistics coordination, warehouse documentation,

and inventory management.
