We are looking for a highly motivated Product Development Engineer who can manage product development from concept to production while coordinating with design, procurement, and manufacturing teams.

Job Summary

The Product Development Engineer will be responsible for developing new hardware products and improving existing products. The role involves component sourcing, coordinating with hardware and mechanical design teams, supporting prototype development, validating designs, and ensuring smooth transition into mass production.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate end-to-end hardware product development.
- Work closely with Hardware, Embedded, Mechanical and Industrial Design teams.
- Source electronic and mechanical components suitable for product requirements.
- Identify alternate components to reduce cost and improve availability.
- Coordinate prototype development and engineering validation.
- Review BOM (Bill of Materials) and recommend improvements.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors for technical discussions and component selection.
- Coordinate with the assembly and production teams for product builds.
- Ensure manufacturability and assembly feasibility.
- Support product testing, debugging and validation activities.
- Work with QA to resolve product-related issues.
- Prepare technical documentation, product specifications and engineering change records.
- Drive cost optimisation and continuous product improvement.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Bachelor's Degree in Electronics & Communication (ECE), Electrical & Electronics (EEE), Instrumentation, Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering.
- 38 years of experience in hardware product development or electronics manufacturing.
- Experience working with OEM/ODM products will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of electronic components and supplier ecosystem.
- Good communication and project coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple products simultaneously.
