Desired: an experienced Overall Project Supervisor to lead the maintenance operations of an Optical Fiber Cable (OFC) network across the West Central Railway, Kota Division.
The role involves managing multiple field teams, coordinating with Railway authorities, ensuring SLA compliance, supervising preventive and breakdown maintenance, and maintaining all contractual documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Project & Team Management
- Supervise maintenance teams deployed at Kota, Bharatpur, Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur City, Ramganj Mandi and Shamgarh.
- Ensure 247 availability of manpower for OFC fault restoration.
- Monitor adherence to response and restoration timelines.
- Plan preventive maintenance, route patrolling and inspections.
- Conduct regular review meetings with field supervisors.
Railway Coordination
- Act as the primary liaison with Senior Divisional Signal & Telecom Engineers (Sr. DSTE), SSEs and Railway officials.
- Coordinate joint inspections, approvals and completion reports.
- Maintain excellent relationships with Railway departments.
External Coordination
- Liaise with NHAI,
Municipal Corporations, PWD and other agencies to prevent damage to OFC routes during construction activities.
- Coordinate with local authorities for permissions whenever required.
- Maintain:
- Daily work reports
- OTDR reports
- Power meter readings
- As-built drawings (ABD)
- Material records
- Labour compliance records
- Monthly and quarterly reports
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Railway safety rules.
- Monitor use of safety equipment.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws and contractual obligations.
Reporting structure This role reports to the Project Manager/Director and will manage 2030 field staff.
Regular travel across the Kota Division is required.
