Responsibilities
- The Cost Engineer is responsible for the accurate estimation, management, and control of project costs throughout the project lifecycle. This role involves developing cost estimates, analyzing cost variances, and ensuring that projects are completed within approved budgets. The Cost Engineer collaborates with project managers, engineers, finance teams, and other stakeholders to provide financial insights and support effective decisionmaking.
Education
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field. A qualified certification (e.g., AACE, PMP, CCE)
is a plus.
Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cost engineering, project cost control, or a similar role. Experience in construction, engineering, oil gas preferred.
