Role & responsibilities
1. Purchase Planning & Execution
- Assist in planning and executing purchase orders based on company requirements
- Ensure timely procurement of materials, goods, and services
2. Vendor Management
- Identify and evaluate new vendors
- Maintain good relationships with existing suppliers
- Compare prices, quality, and delivery timelines
3. Purchase Order Processing
- Prepare and issue purchase orders (POs)
- Track and follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery
4. Cost Control & Negotiation
- Support in price negotiations with suppliers
- Ensure cost-effective purchasing without compromising quality
5. Inventory Coordination
- Coordinate with the store/warehouse team to monitor stock levels
- Avoid overstocking or stock shortages
6. Documentation & Record Keeping
- Maintain proper records of purchase orders, invoices, and contracts
- Ensure all documents comply with company policies and audit requirements
7. Quality Assurance
- Ensure purchased materials meet required specifications and quality standards
- Coordinate with the quality team for inspections if needed
8. Coordination with Internal Teams
- Work closely with accounts, production, and logistics teams
- Resolve any issues related to supply delays or discrepancies
9. Market Research
- Stay updated on market trends, pricing, and new suppliers
- Suggest improvements in procurement strategies
10. Compliance & Policy Adherence
- Ensure all procurement activities follow company policies and legal regulations
Preferred candidate profile
- 1-2 years of experience in procurement or purchase management
- Experience in vendor handling, negotiation, and inventory control
- Ability to coordinate with internal teams and external vendors
- Robust knowledge of MS Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to compare quotations and make cost-effective decisions
- Proactive and result-oriented
