Responsibilities

- Administer and maintain the Snowflake data warehouse environment.
- Manage user roles, access controls, and security policies (RBAC, data masking, encryption).
- Monitor system performance, query optimization, and warehouse scaling.
- Configure and manage virtual warehouses, resource monitors, and cost optimization.
- Implement data loading and unloading processes (Snowpipe, COPY commands, external stages).
- Manage data sharing, replication, and failover strategies across regions/accounts.
- Troubleshoot issues related to performance, connectivity, and data pipelines.
- Implement backup and recovery strategies and ensure data availability.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and architects for system improvements.
- Automate administrative tasks using scripting (Python/Shell) or Snowflake procedures.
- Ensure governance, compliance, and best practices for data security and usage.

Technical and Qualified Requirements
- 25 years of experience in Snowflake Administration or Data Warehouse management.




- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture and features.
- Proficiency in SQL and query performance tuning.
- Experience with data integration tools (Informatica, Talend, Azure Data Factory, etc.).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT processes.
- Experience with security implementation (RBAC, data masking, encryption).
- Familiarity with Snowflake utilities (Snowpipe, Time Travel, Zero-Copy Cloning).
- Experience in monitoring and cost management within Snowflake.
- Snowflake Certifications (e.g., Snowflake SnowPro Core Certification).
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices for data pipelines.
- Knowledge of Python, Shell scripting, or automation tools.
- Exposure to data governance tools and frameworks.
- Experience in handling large-scale datasets and performance optimization.
