Role & responsibilities
- Should be able to independently provide care to both elective and emergency cases.
- Lead the teaching, training program of O.T. nurses, Technicians, ICU Staff.
- Active participation in CME and Journal clubs and
- Conferences
- Ensure observance of the MHC protocols by all the technical staff in OT and ICU
- Complaint redressal of patients.
- Treat, Perform procedures & surgeries as per the clinical privileges authorized to the clinician by the clinical privileging committee.
- Duty roster scheduling of junior doctors in the dept and uniform workloads distribution within their team.
- Allocating the most appropriate junior doctor to attend Consultant for ward rounds.
- Visit patients and arrange patient visits everyday regularly by deputing doctors in each shift
- Manage absences within the team, to ensure minimum numbers are maintained
- Involve team members to attend the training programmes and CMEs as and when required.
- Authorize and organize discharge according to hospitals rules and policies.
- Develop and implement Continuous quality improvement processes in patient care delivery in the specialty.
- Contribute to activities of skilled associations
- To undertake or supervise research in respective department in an organized manner where appropriate
- Marketing Fortis Health Care Services by delivering lecturers and organizing camps in training areas of the Hospital and apprise practitioners and public about the quality of services rendered by Fortis
- Administrative control of all doctors/nurses/paramedical staff working under their supervision and coordinating with the management for constant improvement in the delivery of services. To work collectively to bring about quality improvement in the department.
