Qualification

- B.E. B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory)
- MBA in Supply Chain Management Materials Management (Preferred)
- Certification in Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, ERP/SAP, or Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.

Experience

- Minimum 10 years of experience in Store and Inventory Management within the Oil & Gas Equipment Manufacturing Industry.
- Strong experience in handling Raw Materials such as Forgings, Castings, Steel Bars, Pipes, Plates, Tubes, Flanges, Fittings, and other engineering materials.
- Experience in ERP-based inventory management and material traceability systems.

Job Purpose

To manage and control all raw material store operations, ensuring timely receipt, storage, preservation, inventory accuracy, traceability, and availability of materials to support uninterrupted production activities in compliance with quality and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Raw Material Store Management

- Manage receipt, unloading, storage, preservation, and issuance of raw materials.
- Ensure proper identification, tagging, and traceability of all incoming materials.
- Maintain designated storage locations and material coding systems.
- Ensure FIFO/FEFO practices wherever applicable.

1. Inventory Control

- Monitor stock levels and maintain optimum inventory to support production requirements.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inventory checks.
- Ensure inventory accuracy and timely reconciliation of physical stock with ERP records.
- Control excess, obsolete, and non-moving inventory.

1. Material Receipt & Documentation

- Verify incoming materials against Purchase Orders, Delivery Challans, Test Certificates, and other supporting documents.
- Coordinate with Quality Control for material inspection and release.
- Ensure timely GRN preparation and ERP entries.




- Maintain complete records of inward and outward material movements.

1. Material Traceability & Preservation

- Ensure heat number, batch number, and material grade traceability as per customer and quality requirements.
- Maintain proper segregation of accepted, rejected, and hold materials.
- Ensure proper preservation and storage conditions to prevent material deterioration.
- Maintain traceability records for audit and customer requirements.

1. Production Support

- Ensure timely issuance of raw materials as per production planning requirements.
- Coordinate with Production Planning and PPC teams regarding material availability.
- Monitor shortages and initiate timely communication with Procurement for replenishment.
- Support urgent production requirements without affecting inventory control.

1. ERP & MIS Management

- Maintain accurate inventory transactions in ERP/SAP systems.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
- Monitor pending GRNs, stock transfers, and material reservations.
- Prepare management reports related to inventory status and material consumption.

1. Team Management

- Supervise store executives, storekeepers, and material handlers.
- Allocate daily work responsibilities and monitor performance.
- Train team members on material handling, traceability, ERP operations, and safety procedures.
- Ensure discipline and productivity within the stores department.

1. Compliance & Audit Support

- Ensure compliance with ISO, API, customer, and statutory requirements.
- Support internal, external, customer, and certification audits.
- Maintain all inventory-related records and documentation.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions arising from audits.

1. Safety & Housekeeping

- Ensure implementation of 5S and good warehouse practices.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and safe storage conditions.
- Ensure compliance with EHS requirements and secure material handling procedures.
- Monitor proper use of material handling equipment and PPE.
