The Senior Supply Planner will operate as the planning team leader for day-to-day planning operations. The role will manage end-to-end supply planning across assigned plants, tollers, product families, and/or business segments, guide other planners, drive planning governance, ensure material and production readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop short-term and long-term supply plans by converting demand forecasts into feasible production, replenishment, and deployment plans.
- Own master production scheduling, material requirement planning, capacity planning, and inventory planning for assigned scope.
- Coordinate closely with demand planning, production, procurement, logistics, quality, customer service, and commercial teams to ensure supply continuity and customer service delivery.
- Monitor MRP exceptions, planning parameters, lead times, lot sizes, safety stock, BOM accuracy, and master data quality to improve plan reliability.
- Identify supply risks including material shortages, supplier delays, capacity constraints, quality issues, and production disruptions; develop mitigation and recovery plans.
- Lead daily and weekly planning reviews with plants and cross-functional teams to track schedule adherence, service risks, inventory health, and open actions.
- Manage inventory performance including DOH, ageing, slow-moving/non-moving stock, excess and obsolete inventory, and inventory turns.
- Support S&OP; processes by preparing supply inputs, highlighting constraints, and providing data-driven recommendations for decision making.
- Drive continuous improvement projects in planning processes, reporting, automation, inventory optimization, and cost reduction.
- Build planning dashboards and KPI trackers using Excel, Power BI, SAP or other planning systems to improve visibility and governance.
- Operate as the planning team leader for day-to-day planning operations.
- Act as the first-level backup for the Planning Manager during leave, travel, business reviews, escalations, or crisis situations.
- Lead planning governance meetings when required, including supply review, shortage review, inventory review, and cross-functional escalation forums.
- Guide junior planners, production planners, and material planners on planning logic, prioritization, stakeholder communication, issue resolution, and escalation discipline.
- Represent the planning function in cross-functional discussions with manufacturing, procurement, logistics, finance, quality, and commercial teams.
- Prepare executive-level summaries on service risks, inventory status, customer impact, supply constraints, and mitigation actions.
- Demonstrate leadership maturity, business ownership, and decision-making capability required for future Planning Manager readiness.

Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Business, or related discipline; MBA or advanced supply chain certification is preferred.
- 8-10 years of experience in supply planning, production planning, material planning, inventory management, or manufacturing supply chain operations.
- Strong knowledge of MRP, master production scheduling, RCCP, inventory planning, replenishment planning, and S&OP; processes.
- Experience working with manufacturing plants, toll manufacturers, suppliers, logistics teams, and commercial stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with ERP/planning systems such as SAP or equivalent, and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of Power BI, Power Query, Power Pivot, or similar reporting tools is preferred.
- Exposure to Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies will be an added advantage.
