Job Description – PGT Geography Teacher

Qualification:

- M.A./M.Sc. in Geography

- B.Ed. mandatory (preferred for CBSE/ICSE schools)

Experience:

- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience at senior secondary level

Responsibilities:

- Teach Geography to Classes 11 & 12 as per CBSE/ICSE curriculum

- Cover Physical Geography, Human Geography, Cartography & Practical Geography

- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, maps, and project guidelines

- Conduct map-work sessions and practical evaluations

- Assess and evaluate student performance regularly

- Guide students for board exams and improve answer-writing skills

- Maintain classroom discipline and create an interactive learning setting

- Participate in PTMs, staff meetings, field trips & school events

- Stay updated with curriculum changes and modern teaching techniques

Skills Required:

- Strong subject knowledge in Physical & Human Geography

- Ability to teach map-reading, atlas skills & practical geography

- Good communication and classroom management skills

- Familiarity with digital teaching tools and smart classroom setup (preferred)
