We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Ocean Head – EXIM to lead and manage our end-to-end ocean export operations.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ocean exports, freight forwarding, shipping line management, export documentation, and regulatory compliance in India. This role requires strong strategic leadership, commercial acumen, operational expertise, and the ability to build and drive high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and oversee end-to-end ocean export operations.
- Manage relationships with major shipping lines, NVOCCs, and key industry stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with Indian export regulations, customs requirements, and documentation.
- Negotiate freight rates, service agreements, and contracts with shipping lines.
- Monitor shipment timelines, optimize routing, and drive cost efficiency.
- Handle operational escalations and resolve shipment-related issues effectively.
- Maintain high standards of service quality and operational excellence.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement industry best practices.
- Lead,



mentor, and develop the ocean export operations team.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Service, Documentation, and other internal teams.
- Prepare and analyze operational reports and performance metrics.
- Drive strategic initiatives focused on continuous improvement, productivity, and business growth.

Key Requirements

- Minimum 5 years of experience in a managerial/leadership role.
- Strong and established relationships with shipping lines and industry stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of Indian export procedures, documentation, customs, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven experience in team management and operational efficiency.
- Strong negotiation, communication, stakeholder-management, and leadership skills.
