Senior Project Manager – Software Consulting (15+ Years)

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager who can combine strong technical understanding with exceptional client management and delivery leadership.

Role Overview

As a Senior Project Manager, you will own customer engagements from project inception to successful launch. You will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, working closely with engineering and product teams to translate business goals into successful technology solutions.

Beyond project delivery, you will help customers shape their product roadmap, identify growth opportunities, and build long-term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
Client Success & Account Management

- Own end-to-end client relationships for multiple software consulting engagements.

- Build trusted advisor relationships with client stakeholders.

- Understand customer business goals and translate them into technology roadmaps.

- Identify opportunities for follow-on projects, enhancements, and long-term engagements.

- Conduct regular steering committee meetings, roadmap reviews, and executive project updates.

Project Delivery

- Lead complex web, mobile, AI and cloud software projects from discovery through production launch.

- Prepare detailed project plans, work breakdown structures (WBS), sprint plans, milestones, and release plans.

- Manage scope, timelines, budgets, dependencies, risks, and change requests.





- Drive execution across cross-functional engineering teams while ensuring predictable delivery.

- Establish project governance, reporting, and communication cadence.

Technical Leadership

- Work closely with Technical Leads, Product Managers, QA, UI/UX functions.

- Review solutions and ensure technical decisions align with business objectives.

- Understand system architecture, APIs, integrations, cloud infrastructure, mobile applications, and modern web technologies sufficiently to drive informed discussions with clients and engineering teams.

- Challenge assumptions, identify risks early, and facilitate technical decision-making.

Product & Roadmap Ownership

- Help clients prioritize features based on business impact and engineering effort.

- Own release planning and go-to-market coordination.

- Coach clients on product strategy, phased releases, MVP definition, and scaling plans.

- Ensure successful product launches and post-launch execution.

Required Qualifications

- 15+ years of experience managing software development projects within a software consulting, IT services, or an engineering company.

- Proven experience managing multiple international clients.

- Previous hands-on experience in software development is mandatory.

- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, SDLC, Agile methodologies, APIs, cloud platforms, web applications, and mobile applications.





- Demonstrated expertise in project planning, estimation, sprint planning, dependency management, resource planning, and delivery governance.

- Experience working closely with Engineering Managers, Technical Leads, Product Managers, and senior business stakeholders.

- Robust commercial awareness with the ability to grow customer accounts through trusted consulting and relationship management.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to senior client stakeholders.

Preferred Experience

- Background in software engineering before moving into project management.

- Experience delivering enterprise applications, or digital transformation initiatives.

- Familiarity with Agile delivery frameworks and tools.

- Experience managing distributed or offshore engineering teams.

Interview Process
1. Screening Round

Once you apply, you will get an email and within 4-5 days you will hear from our recruitment team asking you some basic questions.

2. First Interview

Post that, an interview will be scheduled with a senior leader within the next 3-4 days.

3. Second Interview

If the first interview is cleared then, a second interview will be conducted with another senior leader within 1-2 days.

4. Final Decision

The entire process from screening round to final decision will be completed within 2 weeks.
