Position: Materials Science Expert Type: Contract Compensation: $85–$93/hour Location: Remote Commitment: 20 hours/week Role Responsibilities Author and review technical tasks to evaluate AI model performance in materials science . Develop original problem sets using phase diagrams, micrographs, and stress-strain curves.
Write reference solutions and apply structured quality checks to ensure task quality. Annotate tasks with detailed insights to improve AI model outputs . Work independently and asynchronously with a adaptable schedule . Qualifications Must-Have PhD in Materials Science , Metallurgy , or related field; MS with 3+ years experience; or BS with 5+ years experience.




Working fluency in at least two of: phase equilibria, mechanical behavior, crystallography, polymers, or characterization (XRD, SEM, TEM). Comfortable interpreting micrographs, diffraction patterns, and property charts. Preferred Publication record or industry R&D; track.
