We are looking for a skilled ProC Developer with 48 years of experience in developing, maintaining, and enhancing applications using Oracle ProC/C++. The ideal candidate should have solid expertise in embedded SQL, Oracle databases, and backend application development, along with good problem-solving and debugging skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using Oracle Pro*C/C++
- Write efficient embedded SQL queries within C/C++ programs
- Work closely with database teams to optimize SQL queries and performance
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues in existing applications
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DBA, QA, business analysts)
- Participate in system design discussions and provide technical insights
- Ensure proper documentation of developed modules and processes
- Support application deployments and post-production monitoring
Technical Skills Required
- Strong experience in Pro*C / Embedded SQL programming
- Good knowledge of C and/or C++ programming
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Database (SQL, PL/SQL)
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux environment
- Knowledge of shell scripting is an advantage
- Understanding of memory management, pointers, and file handling in C/C++
- Experience in performance tuning and query optimization
- Familiarity with version control tools like Git/SVN
Good to Have Skills
- Experience with batch processing systems
- Knowledge of middleware or legacy systems integration
- Exposure to banking/finance domain (if applicable)
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field

Preferred Experience
- 4–8 years of hands-on experience in Pro*C development
