Job Summary

The F&B; Steward is responsible for providing courteous, efficient, and professional food and beverage service to guests while ensuring the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction. The Steward should have a sound understanding of food and beverage service standards and be capable of handling guest requests independently.

Key Responsibilities

- Welcome and seat guests in a courteous and professional manner.
- Present menus and explain menu items, daily specials, and promotional offers.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system.
- Serve food and beverages according to established service standards.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by responding promptly to requests and resolving minor complaints.
- Set up and clear tables before, during, and after service.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of dining areas, service stations, and equipment.
- Ensure proper table settings, cutlery, crockery, and glassware are maintained.
- Coordinate effectively with the kitchen and bar for timely service.
- Upsell menu items, beverages,



and special promotions to increase sales.
- Handle guest bills accurately and process payments as per company procedures.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards (FSSAI/HACCP guidelines).
- Assist in banquet and special event services whenever required.
- Report equipment defects and maintenance issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain stock of service items and inform supervisors about shortages.
- Comply with company policies, grooming standards, and safety procedures.
- Train and guide junior stewards or trainees whenever assigned.

Required Skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of food and beverage service procedures.
- Basic knowledge of wines, beverages, and menu items.
- Ability to operate POS systems.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Good grooming and skilled appearance.
- Ability to work under pressure during peak hours.

- Time management and multitasking skills.

Experience Requirements

- Minimum 2 years of experience in an F&B; service role in a hotel, resort, restaurant, or banquet operation.
- Experience in fine dining or multi-cuisine restaurants will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
