Lead Architect | AZ Concepts design+build | India & UAE

AZ Concepts design+build (AZC Group) operates across India and the UAE, with practice areas spanning Architecture, Interior Fit-Out, Turnkey Contracting, and Furniture Manufacturing at our own production facility in AMB, Himachal Pradesh. Our design studio is based in Mohali, Punjab.

We are seeking a Lead Architect to head the studio. This is a leadership position: your work will span architectural design and interior fit-out across residential, commercial, hospitality, and government projects — and because manufacturing and execution are in-house, what you design is what gets built.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead design direction across all live projects — concept, design development, and GFC documentation for architecture and interior fit-out
- Head the studio team of designers and draftsmen; review and release all drawings to factory and site
- Represent the practice in client presentations and design sign-off meetings
- Translate approved designs into production-ready packages: GFC sets, material specifications, BOQ inputs, and factory shop-drawing briefs
- Conduct site design audits and resolve design–execution conflicts
- Support architectural and interior packages for government tender submissions
- Coordinate design standards with the UAE team as operations scale

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

- Drawing packages released on schedule with disciplined revision control




- High first-time-right rate at factory and site
- Efficient client sign-off cycles

CANDIDATE PROFILE

- B.Arch (COA registration preferred); portfolio of built work is mandatory — applications without a portfolio will not be processed
- 6–10 years of skilled experience, including a minimum of 3 years in architecture or interior fit-out within turnkey / design-build environments
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp; ability to review and direct rendered output from 3ds Max, Lumion, and D5 Render
- Familiarity with current design software and AI-assisted design tools will be highly appreciated
- Sound working knowledge of BOQs and rate analysis
- Experience releasing drawings to a factory or fabricator will be an advantage
