L2 – Routing Switching Engineer

Job Location

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced L2 Routing Switching Engineer to support and manage enterprise-grade network infrastructure for Data Centres and Branch Networks in a BFSI environment. The role involves handling advanced troubleshooting,



configuration, and operational support across multiple network technologies and OEM platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide L2-level support for Routing Switching issues in a 24×7 operational environment.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network incidents within defined SLAs.
- Handle Data Centre and Branch network operations, including escalations from L1 teams.
- Perform configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization of:
- SD-WAN
- MPLS
- IPSEC VPN
- ACI-based environments

- Work on Cisco Nexus platforms for Data Centre switching.
- Support and troubleshoot network devices from Cisco and Juniper OEMs.
- Perform change implementation activities (CRQs) including:

- Planned changes
- Emergency changes
- Post-change validation

- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and prepare technical reports.
- Coordinate with OEM TAC, service providers, and internal stakeholders during major incidents.
- Ensure compliance with BFSI security, audit, and operational guidelines.
- Maintain network documentation, SOPs, and runbooks.
