Job Description – Senior Resident (General Medicine)

- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Conduct daily ward rounds, OPD consultations, and emergency duties.
- Assist consultants in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of admitted patients.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide appropriate patient care.
- Perform clinical procedures as per departmental protocols and competency.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans accordingly.
- Maintain accurate medical records, case sheets, discharge summaries, and clinical documentation.
- Coordinate with nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care.
- Supervise and guide Junior Residents, Interns, and medical students.
- Participate in departmental meetings, CMEs, academic activities, and clinical audits.
- Ensure compliance with NABH standards, infection control practices, and hospital policies.
- Participate in rotational shifts, including night duties and on-call responsibilities.
