As a quality engineer in our machine shop, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the quality of our manufactured products. You will work closely with the production team to implement quality control processes, conduct inspections, and address quality issues. Your role is pivotal in upholding our commitment to delivering high-quality products to our customers.
Duties and responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes and procedures for machine shop operations.
- Conduct inspections of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products to ensure they meet established quality standards.
- Identify areas for quality improvement and work collaboratively with the production team to implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Analyse root causes of quality issues and develop solutions to address them.
- Maintain accurate records of quality tests, inspections, and findings.
- Prepare quality reports and communicate quality metrics to management and relevant stakeholders.
- Provide training to machine shop personnel on quality control processes and best practices.
- Perform mechanical and dimensional testing on machined components using various measurement tools and equipment.
- Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) when required.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or production engineering.
· Proven experience in a quality engineering role within a machine shop.
· Proficiency in quality control methodologies, tools, and software.
· Solid knowledge of machining processes and machine shop equipment.
· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
· Familiarity with ISO and industry-specific quality standards.
· Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: Up to ₹35,000.00 per month
