Junior Infrastructure Designer
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop layouts to optimize the use of educational and communal spaces.
- Ensure efficient utilization of available areas to meet functional and aesthetic requirements.
- Create functional and visually appealing environments that align with the organization’s mission and values.
- Incorporate design elements that foster an engaging and inspiring atmosphere for learning.
- Choose furnishings, decor, and materials that suit the project’s purpose and budget.
- Collaborate with educators and content creators to ensure designs align with educational objectives.
- Brainstorm ideas and create concept sketches for project planning.
- Develop 3D views to visually communicate design concepts to clients.
- Prepare and refine AutoCAD drawings to detail project designs.
- Explore innovative materials and design details to enhance project outcomes.
- Conduct regular meetings with clients and vendors to discuss project updates.
- Document meetings through well-drafted Minutes of Meetings (MoM).
- Oversee project execution to ensure adherence to quality and timelines.
- Manage multiple project timelines and streamline design processes.
- Conduct local and outstation site visits as required for project implementation.
- Support other design-related functions to ensure successful project delivery.
Qualification Criteria
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field.
- Proven experience in interior design, preferably in educational or institutional settings.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, or similar tools.
Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for someone who has/is:
- Hands-on experience with design software like SketchUp, Fusion 360, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with additional CAD packages, which will be considered an advantage.
- Proficiency in image rendering programs and tools like Illustrator or Photoshop is a plus
- Strong creative and conceptual thinking, with an eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Able to work under minimal supervision
