Job Descritpion of Sap Predictive Analyst

Role Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Data Modeler with a strong background in data modeling, SAP BI technologies, and data warehousing. This role involves designing and optimizing data models to support enterprise business intelligence (BI) and analytics initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong SQL skills, a deep understanding of modeling techniques, and the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify data needs and translate them into technical requirements for BI and reporting systems.
- Data Modeling: Design and develop logical and physical data models, including star schemas, snowflake schemas, and dimensional models to support robust reporting and analytics.
- Data Transformation: Define and implement efficient data transformation logic to prepare and enrich datasets for reporting and analysis.
- Metadata Management: Maintain and manage metadata for all data models, ensuring consistency, traceability, and documentation of data sources, transformations, and relationships.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize data models to improve query performance and system efficiency.
- Collaboration:



Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and solution architects to ensure that data models align with business needs and enterprise architecture standards.

Core Competencies & Skills:

- Data Modeling: In-depth knowledge of data modeling concepts, including dimensional modeling, star and snowflake schemas.
- SQL: Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and manipulation.
- SAP BI Technologies: Hands-on experience with SAP BW, SAP HANA, and other SAP BI tools and environments.
- Database Design: Strong understanding of database design principles, data normalization, and indexing strategies.
- Data Warehousing: Knowledge of data warehousing architectures, ETL processes, and best practices.
- Problem Solving: Solid analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues and optimize models for scalability and performance.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with modern BI tools such as SAP BO, Power BI, Tableau, etc.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum project methodologies.
- Exposure to cloud-based data platforms (e.g., SAP Data Warehouse Cloud, AWS, Azure).
