Roles & Responsibilities

2.1 Design & Development Planning

- Participate in design & development planning activities
- Support preparation of project plans, timelines, and milestones
- Ensure timely completion of assigned design activities

2.2 Customer Requirement Understanding

- Review and understand customer drawings, specifications, RFQs, and standards
- Clarify technical requirements with customers and internal teams
- Ensure translation of customer requirements into design outputs

2.3 Product Design & Modelling

- Prepare 2D drawings and 3D models using Creo parametric CAD software
- Ensure designs meet functional, dimensional, and performance requirements
- Follow applicable design standards and GD&T;

2.4 Design Review, Verification & Validation

- Participate in design reviews with cross-functional teams
- Support design verification and validation activities
- Incorporate review feedback and validation results into design

2.5 APQP & Core Tools (Design Role)

- Support APQP activities related to design
- Prepare and update DFMEA and design-related risk analysis
- Support preparation of special characteristics and control inputs

2.6 Engineering Change Management

- Prepare and process Engineering Change Notes (ECN)
- Ensure controlled implementation of design changes
- Update drawings, BOMs, and documents as per change approvals

2.7 Prototype, Trial & Testing Support

- Support prototype development, trials, and testing




- Analyze test results and recommend design improvements
- Coordinate with Production and Quality during trials

2.8 Manufacturability & Cost Consideration

- Ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)
- Support cost reduction and VA-VE initiatives
- Ensure designs meet target cost and production feasibility

2.9 Documentation & Records

- Maintain design records, drawings, BOMs, and revision history
- Ensure compliance with document control and record retention requirements

3. Authorities

The Design & Development Engineer is authorized to:

- Prepare and revise design drawings and models
- Recommend design improvements and engineering changes
- Participate in design reviews and technical discussions
- Stop release of drawings if design non-conformity is identified (with intimation)
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams on design issues

Pay: ₹250,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
