This position is for an European MNC automotive manufacturing company

Designation: Controlling & Reporting Specialist

Responsibilities:

- Controlling of the transactional accounting performed by the Bangalore team, ensuring quality, completeness and adherence to deadlines
- Preparation of lower-level (entity and cost-center) management reporting for the Group entities in scope
- Review and approval of reconciliations, postings and payment proposals prepared by the accounting team
- First point of contact and escalation for the accounting specialists, with the Danish finance team as support
- Support the phased transfer of controlling tasks into the shared service center (planned from Q1 2027)
- Continuous improvement of internal and financial reporting / processes, integrating BI, RPA and AI when suited

Tasks:

- Review of supplier invoice, AR and bank postings and of monthly account reconciliations
- Support to, and controlling of, the monthly closing procedure for entities in scope
- Preparation of monthly management reporting, incl. actual-vs-budget and variance analysis at entity / cost-center level
- Preparation and maintenance of standard reporting packages and KPIs for the European finance team
- Maintaining and improving desktop procedures, controls and the escalation model
- Ad hoc analyses and reporting requested by the Group finance function

Preferred Skills





- Proven working experience within financial / business controlling, review or audit
- Experience from a shared service center, captive or BPO setting, incl. task transitions / migrations
- Proven working experience with ERP and reporting / BI tools (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics, Power BI)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Knowledge of IFRS and an understanding of local statutory requirements
- Experience within development and implementation of procedures and controls
- Able to work independently and to guide and support junior colleagues

Qualifications and Education Requirements

- CA / CMA / ACCA (qualified or finalist), or MBA (Finance) / M.Com with strong relevant experience
- 4-8 years of experience within accounting and controlling, incl. management reporting; shared service experience an advantage
- Experience reviewing the work of others and acting as an escalation point
- Clear and concise written and spoken communication skills in English

Salary: at par with industry standards
