Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) from a Mechanical Engineering background to join our manufacturing and elevator operations team. The candidate will undergo practical training in production, quality, maintenance, fabrication, assembly, and shop floor operations to develop technical and operational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in daily production and manufacturing activities.
- Learn and support fabrication, assembly, and machine operations.
- Monitor shop floor activities and maintain production records.
- Support quality inspection and quality control processes.
- Coordinate with production, stores, dispatch, and maintenance teams.
- Understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues and breakdowns.
- Follow safety procedures and company policies during operations.
- Prepare reports related to production, maintenance, and quality.
- Participate in process improvement and continuous improvement activities.
- Support senior engineers in day-to-day operational work.
Required Skills:
- Basic knowledge of Mechanical Engineering concepts.
- Understanding of engineering drawings and measuring instruments.
- Valuable communication and coordination skills.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, Word).
- Willingness to work on the shop floor.
- Quick learner with positive attitude.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of fabrication, welding, machine shop, or elevator manufacturing.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or SolidWorks will be an added advantage.
