Work Experience Required 2–5 years’ experience in house wire coiling operation, preferably in wire & cable manufacturing industry.

Qualification ITI / Diploma / 10th or 12th Pass

Job Roles & Responsibilities

Job Purpose:

To operate and monitor the Uday Dual Head Coiling Machine for house wire coiling, ensuring accurate length, proper coil formation, product quality, machine efficiency, and safe handling as per production requirements. Dual-head coiling systems are designed for continuous production with alternate winding stations to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.

1. Machine Operation:

Operate Uday Dual Head House Wire Coiling Machine for house wire products.

Perform machine start-up, shutdown, and changeover activities.

Load and unload coils/bobbins as per production schedule.

Ensure continuous operation of dual heads for maximum productivity.

2. Production Management:

Achieve daily production targets as per planning.

Maintain required line speed and coiling efficiency.

Ensure correct wire size, colour, and batch as per production order.

3. Coiling & Packing Quality:

Ensure neat and uniform coil winding.

Monitor proper coil diameter, coil weight, and coil shape.

Verify wire length accuracy through meter counter/length measurement.

Avoid overlapping, loose winding, or wire damage during coiling.



Proper tension control and alignment are core coiling responsibilities.

4. Machine Setting & Adjustment:

Set machine parameters based on wire size and coil requirement.

Adjust tension, traversing, and cutting settings.

Conduct size changeover with minimum downtime.

5. Quality Control:

Perform in-process inspection of:

Coil appearance

Length accuracy

Printing visibility

Surface damage/scratch marks

Segregate defective coils and inform supervisor/QA.

6. Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

Carry out routine cleaning and minor preventive maintenance.

Identify machine abnormalities and report breakdowns immediately.

Assist maintenance team during troubleshooting.

7. Safety & Housekeeping:

Follow PPE and safety procedures.

Maintain 5S around coiling area.

Ensure protected handling of coils and packing material.

8. Documentation:

Maintain production records, rejection reports, and shift logbooks.

Record coil quantity, meterage, and downtime.

Competencies/Skill Sets Required Knowledge of house wire coiling process.

- Experience in Uday Dual Head Coiling Machine operation preferred.
- Understanding of wire sizes, meter counting, and coil packing.
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Attention to quality and productivity.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts.
