- Prepare and cook meals according to prescribed menus and recipes.
- Ensure food is prepared in a hygienic and safe manner.
- Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and portion sizes.
- Prepare special diets as instructed by dietitians or management.
- Ensure meals are served on time.
Kitchen Operations
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, utensils, and equipment.
- Ensure proper storage of raw materials and cooked food.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the Kitchen Supervisor.
- Minimize food wastage and control kitchen costs.
- Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) principles for food storage.
Food Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and infection control standards.
- Use protective clothing and maintain personal hygiene.
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI guidelines and hospital policies.
- Report any equipment malfunction or safety hazards immediately.
Inventory Management
- Assist in receiving and checking food supplies.
- Verify the quality and quantity of ingredients received.
- Maintain records of food consumption and stock usage as required.
Team Coordination
- Work closely with kitchen staff and supervisors.
- Assist in training helper cooks and kitchen assistants.
- Maintain a cooperative and professional working environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10th/12th Pass.
- Certificate/Diploma in Cookery, Food Production, or Hotel Management preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Experience in hospital, hotel, hostel, or institutional kitchens preferred.
Skills Required
- Valuable cooking and food preparation skills.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet meal schedules.
- Teamwork and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and cleanliness.
Working Conditions
- Rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
- Standing for extended periods.
- Exposure to heat, kitchen equipment, and food preparation activities.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
