Key Responsibilities

- Develop 2D and 3D mechanical designs using AutoCAD and SOLIDWORKS.
- Create part models, assemblies, manufacturing drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Design sheet metal components and prepare fabrication drawings.
- Apply GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards in engineering drawings.
- Coordinate with the production team to resolve manufacturing, assembly, and testing issues.
- Ensure designs meet quality, functionality, safety, and manufacturability requirements.
- Plan, schedule, and execute assigned design tasks within project timelines.
- Maintain engineering documentation, design revisions, and drawing records.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize product design and improve manufacturing processes.
- Support prototype development, testing, and product validation activities.

Required Skills

- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SOLIDWORKS.
- Solid knowledge of mechanical design principles and sheet metal design.
- Experience in preparing manufacturing drawings and BOMs.
- Good understanding of GD&T; and engineering drawing standards.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving,



and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in switchgear, electrical panels, or industrial equipment design.
- Knowledge of fabrication, welding, and CNC manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and engineering documentation practices.
- Basic understanding of electrical enclosure design and industry standards.

Qualification

- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in mechanical design and product development.
