Eligibility

PhD/ MPhil in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Sociology, Social Work, Economics, Political Science, Anthropology, Women and Gender Studies or Social Sciences (55% minimum) with NET/MPhil/PhD and prior research experience as a Research Assistant in any Research Project. With a prior minimum experience of 1 year or more of working in Project. Reading and speaking in languages (Gujrati/Hindi /Rajasthani) is must

Desirable skills Qualifications

1.MPhil/PhD dissertation or published work on themes like gender and governance, tribal studies, Panchayati Raj, women’s political participation, or comparative federalism.

2.Prior Academic or field experience related to Rajasthan, Gujarat, and/or Daman & Diu, with understanding of tribal communities, local governance structures, and socio-political contexts in these regions.





3.Proficiency in Mixed Methods Research. Experience in both qualitative (in-depth interviews, FGDs, ethnographic methods, case studies) and quantitative (survey design, data analysis using SPSS/Stata/R) research.

4.Advanced skills in reference management tools (Zotero, Mendeley), qualitative analysis software (NVivo, Atlas.ti), and data visualization.

5.Demonstrated ability to conduct fieldwork in tribal and rural areas, with sensitivity to gender, culture, and power dynamics.

6.Ability to analyze legislation (e.g., PESA, Panchayati Raj Acts) and its implementation, especially concerning women’s reservations and tribal areas.

7.Evidence of writing research reports, policy briefs, or academic publications in relevant areas. Experience in drafting comparative study reports is highly desirable.

8.Knowledge of local languages/dialects of the project regions (e.g., Gujarati, Marathi, Rajasthani dialects like Wagdi, Bhili, etc.) is highly preferred
