Educational/Qualification B.E. / B.Tech (Chemical Engineering) OR M.Sc. (Organic/Analytical Chemistry)

Job Location Plant Site (Sanand / Dhanot / Rajpur - Gujarat)

Shift Type Rotational Shifts (including Night Shifts)

1.Shift Operations & Batch Monitoring

- Supervising day-to-day shop floor operations during the assigned shift to meet predefined production targets.
- Charging raw materials precisely as per the Batch Manufacturing Record (BMR) and operating instructions.
- Monitoring critical process parameters such as temperature, pressure, pH, and flow rates during unit operations (e.g., distillation, chlorination, condensation).
- Maintaining a thorough, real-time record of production logs, BMRs, and shift handovers with zero discrepancies.

2. Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) Compliance

- Ensuring strict adherence to Work Permit Systems (Cold Work, Hot Work, Height, Confined Space).
- Enforcing 100% compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) among all floor operators and contract workmen.
- Taking immediate corrective actions or reporting any gas leaks, chemical spillages, or near-miss incidents to the Plant In-charge.
- Participating in regular safety drills and maintaining a clean, hazard-free work floor (5S methodology).

3. Quality & Troubleshooting

- In-process sampling and coordinating with the Quality Control (QC)



laboratory to ensure product parameters match strict specifications.
- Identifying raw material or process deviations early and escalating issues to the Production Manager to prevent batch failure.
- Ensuring the cleaning and sanitization of reactors, blenders, and pipelines during product changeovers.

4. Workforce Management

- Directing and handling a team of operators and contract workers effectively to optimize labor productivity during the shift.
- Assisting in on-the-job training for floor personnel regarding protected chemical handling and process operations.

Required Skills and Competencies

- Technical Knowledge: Strong foundational understanding of chemical unit operations, mass balance, heat transfer, and basic equipment (reactors, distillation columns, centrifuges, pumps).
- Communication: Clear verbal and written skills to handle shift handovers, talk to plant heads, and manage shop floor workers.
- Problem Solving: Quick analytical skills to handle unexpected pressure or process changes during production.
- Attitude: A strong desire to learn, high integrity, and readiness to work in challenging, fast-paced plant environments across rotational shifts.

Pay: ₹19,300.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
