Job Description – SUPW Teacher

Position: SUPW (Socially Useful Productive Work) Teacher

Job Summary

The SUPW Teacher is responsible for planning and conducting practical, skill-based learning activities that promote creativity, self-reliance, environmental awareness, social responsibility, and life skills among students. The teacher should create an engaging learning setting that encourages hands-on learning in accordance with the school's curriculum and educational philosophy.

Qualification

- Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Home Science, Education, or a related field.
- Certification or training in Art & Craft, SUPW, or vocational education will be an added advantage.

Experience

- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in a reputed CBSE/CISCE/ISC school.
- Experience in conducting project-based and activity-based learning.
- Experience organizing exhibitions, competitions, and school events is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver SUPW lessons for students from the assigned classes.
- Conduct activities such as art and craft, paper crafts, best-out-of-waste projects, eco-friendly initiatives, gardening, basic stitching, model making, and other productive work.
- Foster creativity, innovation, teamwork, and problem-solving skills among students.
- Organize exhibitions, displays, competitions, and project showcases during school events.
- Maintain records of lesson plans, assessments,



and student progress.
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and storage of SUPW materials and equipment.
- Promote environmental awareness through recycling, waste management, and sustainability projects.
- Integrate value education, social awareness, and community service concepts into classroom activities.
- Ensure classroom safety and supervise students during practical sessions.
- Collaborate with class teachers and other departments for interdisciplinary activities.
- Participate in school functions, exhibitions, workshops, parent meetings, and other academic events.
- Perform additional responsibilities assigned by the school administration.
