Job Summary

SAMMS TECH SPM & AUTOMATION is looking for an experienced Senior PLC Programmer with solid expertise in Special Purpose Machines (SPM), industrial automation, PLC programming, HMI development, servo motion control, and machine commissioning. The candidate should be capable of independently handling complete automation projects from electrical design to onsite commissioning and customer support.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, program, test, and troubleshoot PLC programs for SPM and industrial automation machines.
- Design and develop HMI/SCADA applications for machine operation and monitoring.
- Configure and commission servo drives, VFDs, motion controllers, and industrial communication networks.
- Integrate sensors, actuators, vision systems, barcode scanners, RFID systems, and safety devices.
- Perform machine commissioning, testing, debugging, and optimization at customer sites.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, control panel drawings, and machine sequence logic.
- Develop machine operating sequences, interlocks, alarms, and safety logic.
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and design teams during machine development.
- Support production, installation,



and after-sales service activities.
- Prepare PLC/HMI backups, technical documentation, manuals, and commissioning reports.
- Provide customer training and technical support after machine installation.
- Diagnose and resolve machine breakdowns, both remotely and onsite.

Required Skills

- Strong PLC programming experience in one or more of the following:
- Siemens (S7-1200, S7-1500, TIA Portal)
- Mitsubishi
- Omron
- Delta
- Allen-Bradley (Rockwell)
- HMI development using Siemens, Mitsubishi, Delta, Weintek, or Pro-face.
- Servo motion control and VFD programming.
- Industrial communication protocols:
- Profinet
- Profibus
- Modbus RTU/TCP
- Ethernet/IP
- EtherCAT
- Knowledge of electrical panel wiring and control panel design.
- Strong troubleshooting and machine commissioning skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Special Purpose Machines (SPM)
- Robotic integration (ABB, FANUC, Yaskawa, Universal Robots, etc.)
- Vision systems (Keyence, Cognex)
- Safety PLCs and safety circuits
- SCADA systems
- Industrial IoT and data logging
- SQL/database connectivity
- Barcode and RFID integration
