Leadership Role - High School Department

About School:
We are a Preschool to Grade 12 school in the city of Rajkot (Gujarat) founded by Harvard alums. Our unique pedagogy, the Northstar Approach, is a research-based approach to learning and teaching that helps students achieve their highest potential by exploring and making discoveries about themselves and their world. Roles and Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management:

- Lead and manage teachers within the department, ensuring alignment with school goals through regular meetings.
- Foster collaboration and explicit communication among team members.

Curriculum Development and Implementation:

- Oversee accurate delivery of the Cambridge curriculum, ensuring lesson quality and student engagement.
- Monitor adherence to Cambridge standards and promote effective teaching practices.

Student Support and Wellbeing:

- Track student performance, address academic challenges, and implement support strategies.
- Collaborate with school management to safeguard student wellbeing and exam readiness.

Assessment and Reporting:





- Ensure student success in external assessments.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of assessments and reports
- Analyze student data to guide teaching improvements and assessment preparation.
- Guide students through exam processes, offering workshops and mentoring for both Cambridge and other academic assessments.

Professional Development and Training:

- Identify staff training needs and coordinate activities to enhance curriculum knowledge and teaching skills.
- Stay updated on Cambridge program developments and encourage sharing of best practices.

Communication and Collaboration:

- Maintain effective communication with parents, leadership, and external stakeholders on student progress and curriculum updates.

Administrative Duties:

- Manage scheduling, resources, and compliance with Cambridge examination protocols.
- Address disciplinary issues within the department according to school policies.

Requirements:

- Minimum 7 years experience in a progressive school at leadership level
- Master’s degree in relevant discipline
