Production Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Production Manager to lead our furniture manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of production planning, manpower management, quality control, and process improvement in the furniture industry. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining high quality, safety, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, organize, and monitor daily production activities.
- Achieve production targets while maintaining quality standards.
- Manage production teams, supervisors, and operators effectively.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans.
- Monitor production efficiency and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure timely availability of raw materials in coordination with the Purchase and Stores departments.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Design, and Planning teams to ensure smooth production.
- Reduce production losses, rework, and material wastage.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen practices.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs and safety regulations.
- Analyze production reports,



machine utilization, and manpower productivity.
- Train and develop production staff to improve performance and skills.
- Resolve production-related issues to avoid delays in customer deliveries.

Required Skills

- Solid leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent production planning and scheduling knowledge.
- Knowledge of furniture manufacturing processes, including cutting, sewing, upholstery, assembly, and packaging.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/MRP systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.

Qualification

- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma , MBA Production, MMS, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

- 8–15 years of experience in furniture manufacturing.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Production Manager or in a similar leadership role.
- Experience in manufacturing upholstered furniture, sofas, recliners, dining chairs, or wooden furniture will be preferred.

Pay: From ₹35,000.00 per month
